Third foal has arrived

The trend of lovely foals continues with Dee Dee G foaling in the early hours of Thursday morning, a tall and wonderful filly by the Hanoverian stallion Damsey

We have now decided on the name Delta for her, as she is the fourth foal that Dee has produced for us. Once again Dee has outdone herself, Delta has the fabulous laid back temperament that Dee's foals all have, is very correct with a superb hind end. Really excitied to see how she develops over the next few weeks.
Pepe has been advertised for sale in a few locations and as you can see is developing rather beautifully.
He is a charming boy, so strong and powerful and full of charisma.
Elf, our Trakehner mare, is due next, so watch this space. That will be followed by trips to East of England and Lincoln shows, as the busy summer really gets going.

First Volatis News Update

Welcome to the Volatis Stud blog.

I've decided to go dowm the blog route as updating the website reguarly is always a pain and this way I can keep everyone informed of news and events here at the stud.

We already have two foals born this season, both by the young German bred stallion Sempers Spirit. 3 weeks ago today, Holme Grove Venezia had a delightful coloured filly, named Volatis Vienna. (2nd picture)

Then last Sunday, Broadstone Dingle Dell, after giving us a few sleepless nights, delivered a very attractive coloured colt, now named Volatis Dieppe (Pepe). I promise I will take more photos of both foals soon. Unfortunatly both foals will be for sale.
Our foundation mare Dee Dee G and our Trakehner mare Harmsworth Elfinesque are both due to foal in early june so watch this space.
The show season has got off to a good start with Daldorn Spring Thyme taking the Riding Pony Breeding Championship at Leciester County. We only plan to show one of our homebreds this season, Volatis Valiant has been entered for the Royal Show in the hack breeding section, so fingers crossed in advance for that. One of our 2007 foal crop, Volatis Diva, has continued her winning ways in the ring, winning at CHAPS Northern, so hopefully that is a setting a trend for the season.
